Indie rock is a genre of alternative rock, It first became well know in the UK and US in the 1980s. Most Indie rock songs and Videos are relatively low budget. In the early 1990s the main indie rock band was Nirvana. Most modern indie rock band now use Nirvana for inspiration for their music.
